Clear, honest answers about CBD — from how it works in your body to how to choose products you can actually trust. No fluff. No hype.

What is CBD?

CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant. Unlike THC, it's non-intoxicating — meaning it won't get you 'high.' It's one of more than 100 cannabinoids that interact with the body's endocannabinoid system.

How does CBD work?

Your body has an endocannabinoid system (ECS) that helps regulate sleep, mood, pain response, and inflammation. CBD supports the ECS by interacting with its receptors, helping your body return to balance.

Full-spectrum vs. isolate

Full-spectrum CBD contains the plant's full range of cannabinoids and terpenes, often producing a stronger combined effect (the 'entourage effect'). Isolate is pure CBD only. We craft full-spectrum products from our own hemp.

How to choose quality CBD

Look for products that are: (1) grown without pesticides, (2) third-party lab tested, (3) transparent about source and potency, and (4) made in small batches. Avoid vague labels and 'hemp seed oil' marketed as CBD.

Is CBD safe?

CBD is generally well-tolerated. The World Health Organization has noted a strong safety profile. Always start low, go slow, and check with your healthcare provider if you take prescription medications or are pregnant or nursing.

Topical vs. ingestible

Salves and soaps act locally — great for targeted muscle, joint, or skin support. Tinctures are absorbed under the tongue for whole-body effects like sleep, calm, or recovery. Many people use both, for different needs.

Common Questions

What people ask us most.

Will CBD make me feel high?

No. Our products are full-spectrum hemp with less than 0.3% THC, the federal legal limit. You may feel calm or relief — but not intoxicated.

How much CBD should I take?

Start low (5–10 mg) and increase gradually every few days until you find what works for you. Everyone's body is different — there's no one-size-fits-all dose.

How long does it take to feel effects?

Topicals (salves, soaps) can be felt within 15–30 minutes at the application site. Tinctures taken under the tongue typically work within 20–45 minutes and last 4–6 hours.

Can CBD show up on a drug test?

Full-spectrum products contain trace THC. While rare, it's possible. If drug testing is a concern for your job, talk to us about options.

Is your CBD lab tested?

Yes. Every batch is third-party tested for potency and purity. Reach out anytime and we'll send you the Certificate of Analysis for your product.
